The Children’s Defense Fund, founded in 1973 by legendary activist Marian Wright Edelman, has issued its 2007 Congressional Scorecard, grading all members of Congress based on their voting records as it relates to issues affecting children such as expanded health coverage for children, caps on student loan interest rates, and a budget bill that restored many cuts to worthwhile children’s programs that had been made by the Bush Administration.

Congressman Cohen received the highest possible score, voting in the interests of America’s children 100% of the time.

“Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders,” Congressman Cohen explained. “And when we invest in them, the world of tomorrow reaps the dividends.”
