Congressman Steve Cohen filed his petition this morning to run for re-election in Tennessee’s 9thCongressional District before flying back to Washington, D.C. to conduct the business of the House of Representatives.
“I have at least two opponents in the August Democratic Primary and at least one in the November General Election,” Cohen said. “I will run on my record as I always have.”
Cohen, in his fourth term in Congress, recently became Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on the Constitution of the Judiciary Committee. He was also named to the Intellectual Property and Courts Subcommittee and serves on the Transportation Committee. He is also a member of the Helsinki Commission by appointment of the Speaker of the House.
