The American Association of University Women, an organization that since 1881 has worked to advance equity for women through advocacy, education, and research, has awarded Congressman Cohen with a perfect score for his voting record in 2007.
AAUW based their scoring on six key votes: The Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007, The College Cost Reduction And Access Act, The Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007, The America COMPETES Act, The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2007, and the Pence Amendment. Congressman Cohen voted as the AAUW would have on all six.
“The American Association of University Women has a long and storied history of fighting for equal rights for women,” Congressman Cohen said. “And I am proud to be their ally as we struggle together to overcome all the barriers placed in front of women today.”
